Forge of Empires Anniversary 2023
How can I participate in Forge of Empires Anniversary event?
This year, we take you on a journey to investigate a mysterious phenomenon. A group of scientists discovers a rich vein of gems they've never seen before. Moreover, some of the gems hold what appears to be keys, or at least parts of them.
Lacking existing solutions, the scientists develop new technologies to analyze the gems and find out their origin: the Spawner to extract the ores, and the Converter to crack them open for keys. Digging deeper, the scientists discover a chamber full of chests, each requiring multiple keys to open, and rewarding you with valuable resources. To aid their research, our characters hired Lilith, the Key Master. Overseeing all the operational details, Lilith will give you event quests. Make sure to complete them to gain enough Energy to extract the gems. Of course the Energy can also be found in incidents, just like in any other event.
Spawn and merge the gems
This year's event features an all new merge mechanic! When the event starts, you will gain access to a board full of marvelous gems. Most of these gems will be locked in place behind the glass. To break the glass and unlock the gem, you need a free gem of the same color and level.
To get the free gem, click on the Spawner 
button. This button will use Energy to spawn the gem. You can then use this newly spawned gem to "break the glass" and unlock a locked gem of the same size and color. Doing so, you will also level up your gem and can use it to continue merging. Every new merge with a locked piece will also get you a small reward and Grand Prize progress. The higher the level of the gem, the bigger the reward!
Note: gems will get you different type rewards depending on their color. Check out the Cheat Sheet under the board to see which rewards you can get!
Convert gems into keys
Each locked gem will also come with a key part: either a top part or a bottom part. Pay close attention to these when you are choosing which gems to merge! If you merge two gems with key parts, those parts will be combined into a full key. But remember - to make a full key you need to merge a top part and a bottom part, as well as matching the colors and sizes of the gems.
Feed the gems with a full key into your Converter to remove the piece from the board and free up the key. Keys can be created on gems of many sizes, but the bigger the gem, the more keys you will get for converting that gem! You can also receive one per day from Daily Challenges.
Open chests for rewards
Keys can be used to unlock chests to give you a chance to win the Daily Special, among a variety of other useful resources!
Your first chest of each day will also have a bonus increasing the prizes you gain from that chest, so pick your first chest of the day carefully!
Event Rewards
Tower of Conjunction
Every time you merge a previously locked gem or open a chest, you gain progress towards the Grand Prize. This year's Prize includes kits for our stunning new building, the Tower of Conjunction! It does not require any road connection! A fully upgraded Tower of Conjunction will get you the following bonuses:

The Golden Upgrade Kit
With the help of the Golden Upgrade Kit, you can branch out the Tower of Conjunction into one of the four different variants, each favoring a certain gameplay style. After this upgrade, the building boosts the level 10 stats and a couple of extra bonuses, depending on the style of the building.
You can get the Golden Upgrade Kit from the Grand Prize, from the Tower of Conjunction Selection Kit, from the Anniversary Prizes, and also from the final League Reward.
Apart from the extra stat bonuses, you can also select a brand-new look of your Tower, as shown below:

Daily Specials
Keep an eye out for the special daily events. This year they feature quite a few rewards from past events. So don't forget to check your Specials! One of them might be that last Selection Kit you need to finish your favorite special building.
To win the Daily Specials, you need to open Reward Chests on the right side on the Event window. Every Chest has a different chance to win the Daily Special. Please click on the Chest you want to open to see the details about its rewards.

The Key Master's Workshop

Anniversary League
For the more competitive players, the Event League is the perfect way to match your progress against the other players on your world. The more you progress through the event, the higher you rank, and the better the bonus prizes you could win at the end of the event.
